This store is one of the most eclectic places I've ever been. The owners have an evident talent for gathering unique clothing and design pieces for the coolest of cool folk. I highly recommend stopping in for a look!

Design Driven does NOT stand behind their products!! Here is what happened to us...Bought a dining table made by Jose within the past month. $900. Place of purchase was the Antique Tobacco Barn. They informed us that they work often with Jose. The table top was made with reclaimed wood. The tag on table had price and type of wood and NOTHING else. Looked great. After it was delivered the table top separated within the first week. The glued joints have separated so much we can see the floor through the table top. The gaps are almost 1/2 “ in width. Contacted Jose whose response was ‘you bought it, it’s yours’. Refused to offer repair OR compensation for repair. He did admit that the table had been taken out of Black Mountain showroom due to ‘flaws’ in construction . That indicated that Jose knew what would happen and purposely sold it at Tobacco Barn due to the no return policy. The policy is great for memorabilia and antiques sold there but be aware that new products are same policy. The Antique Tobacco Barn did sympathize and try to make the situation better. They did their job well. But Jose knowingly chose to sell a defective product. He has made no offer to repair or compensate for the repairs we will have to have done. After the one time speaking to Jose I provided him with before and after photos and no response. Does not stand behind his work. Misrepresented his product on purpose. Ethically that says it all.nnTo reply to you...a few facts! I have no idea how much the original price was. I do know the price at Tobacco Barn was $1159. I have proof. We paid $900 not $800. Again, I have proof. I also know that nobody EVER MENTIONED OR MADE US AWARE OF YOUR CONSTRUCTION MISTAKES. IF YOU ARE A WOODWORKER (I am not) YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR KNOWING THE MEDIUM YOU WORK IN. And none of your reply acknowledges that you acted unethically. You can have the $50 gift certificate back.

A creative store/studio. Wife sells unique items, some of which the artist husband creates. Awesome clothing, home interiors and local art. I get most of my clothing and gifts here. I LOVE it!

So many interesting items to look at in this shop!! Def the place to discover creatively unique furniture, art, clothing and locally made products. Each time I go I find something special.
