Dental One Associates of Bel Air

If you care about your sanity, do not go to Dental One Associates of Maryland. My favorite words to describe their practice are:nnRudenInsensitivenUnprofessionalnDisorganizednnWhen I first made my appointment, they were super friendly and helpful. It didn’t stay that way for long.nDuring the first appointment the doctor thought it would be a great idea to poke fun at and make jokes about my health conditions.nFor my second appointment, they canceled 15 minutes AFTER I already checked in.nFor my third appointment, they said they would send my referral paper work to the oral surgeon I gave them. They never did.nI have tried several times over the last month to get them to send it. Today I went to pick up the referral in person. I spent 45 minutes in their office because, not only did they not send the referral to my oral surgeon, but they didn’t even make me a referral in the first place!nI am so glad that I never have to step foot in this office ever again.nnUpdate to say: after all the trouble I went through to get the referral, they ended up putting the wrong information on it. I ended having to go back AGAIN so they could draw up a correct referral. They handed to me. I checked it and it was STILL wrong. I finally have a completely correct referral and can finally be done with them. There is no excuse for this level of incompetence. Save yourself a huge headache and DO NOT GO TO DENTAL ONE!!!!!

Everyone was so friendly, not just to me but to each other which really helped to put me at ease and relax. The staff were all in good spirits laughing and having fun which is a great atmosphere for somewhere as uncomfortable as a dental office. The staff took the time to explain everything to me twice to make sure I fully understood. They treated me like an actual person and not just another set of teeth to see that day. I'm very happy I found Dental One and I highly recommend them.

The only reason they get two stars is because of the amazing hygienist! Dr. Chatwell kept pushing for me to get root canals and refused to listen when I requested not to. Dr. Blainey is amazing and attentive. The receptionist though leave a lot to be desired; I’ve had maybe 2 good experiences with them. I repeatedly advise I have certain times that work best for appointments and yet they cancel and don’t tell me they did until I call to verify my own appointment.

Dr. Kevin Asher is a great dentist. Always smiling, always making dentistry jokes, and always putting me at ease. He is quick and competent, pulled my wisdom tooth so fast, I didn't believe him at first when he said that he was all done. It takes a while to get an appointment with him, but if you can hold out, he is worth the wait!

Made an appointment as a new patient online over two weeks ago. Filled out all the paperwork, confirmed the appointment via text, ready to go!nGot a call this morning telling me that I need to have my appointment pushed back to a time more convenient for them because they don't have a doctor to see me at the time I set. My appointment was supposed to be tomorrow (1/28) first thing in the morning.nIt's very frustrating that they called the day before my appointment because their inconvieneced by seeing me. If there's no doctor, don't schedule a patient. If I have to move my life all around to accommodate their scheduling, when an error is made they should rearrange their schedule to fix the problem. I was told they only check the schedule 24-48 hours prior and that's why they couldn't give me more notice on canceling.nDefinitely won't even give it another shot with trying to reschedule an appointment.
