Calvert Hospice

My relationship with Calvert Hospice has a two-fold blessing. The first was when my sister was admitted for care. I cannot say enough about the compassion and expert care she received. From the very first contact with Amanda (a staff member) it went as perfect as one could hope for. She put me in touch with the director, Amy who took care of my questions and showed such wonderful compassion for her and my emotion. The nursing and care staff were excellent. I am eternally grateful for Hospice..never I can to make the wonderful service The second part is having the privilege of doing whatever we can to let others know.

The Staff at Burnett Calvert Hospice House cared for my mother as though they had known her for years. She spent her final days wrapped in the love and care of amazing people who could always offer something kind and positive to all of us. This was truly a gift for our family as we struggled to find balance in the day to day routines. We truly appreciate every day our mother had there. This is such a wonderful location and service available in our community. Our Hospice experience was absolutely the best it could have been at such a difficult time. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Calvert's home hospice care is pathetic. They have withheld pain medication from my mother, an end stage 4 cancer patient. Withheld so much pain medication that now she needs to be admitted to the hospital to get her pain back under control. It's really sad that for hospice patients living in Calvert County, there are no other hospices from which to choose. Where I live, there are so many hospices to choose from, this mess would never happen. Who withholds pain meds from a hospice patient???

Staff was rude and not very helpful when I discussed pallative care options for my husband.
