Great trail system and getting better every day. 5-mile loop that is fast and hilly with gravel base, challenging hills, some steep with wash outs, and areas of soft sand. Norba and park are working together and have added a new challenging trail with plans to add even more. Most all levels of off-road cyclist will find a great ride here and it worth the short drive from the NOLA metro area.
Great park for off-road cycling - plenty of ravines and gorge make for fun ups and downs , different from our mostly flat terrain. NORBA bike club is working on building a series of new, dedicated mtb trails here, check them out for more info.
Great park just a short distance from Mandeville/Covington/Slidell area. New trail building is underway - excited to be a part of the team making a mark out here.
Bogue Chitto state park has a hilly 5 mile limestone hiking trail that surrounds a gorge and near a nice sized river. Deer and turkeys can be spotted from time to time. You can rent canoes or horses to ride in the park. Mountain bike trails are in infancy stages planning . Abita brewery, Abita Springs and Covington restaurants, coffee shops, bars etc are 15 mins away for post activity refueling.
