Very quiet, peaceful grounds. Surrounded by open fields and large trees, with a grotto. If you look carefully, you'll see the oak alley that leads to Sacré-Coeur de Grand Coteau. I know in the past the Jesuits would ride their horses down this alley to get to the school to say mass. Would love to know if that's still a tradition.nnInteresting bit of history. During the Civil War, Union and Confederate troops camped on these grounds. The Union commander spared the school (so I've been told) because his daughter attended the Sacred Heart school in New York. A lot of history happened on this land.
