So far, nice place. I don't know what to say about it. It does have its purpose.

Great place for entertaining

I leave my review after just physically leaving the establishment, this is my second opportunity as a vendor to work inside this venue. It's a beautiful blank canvas for a client with a vision but its evident they are going through changes in ideology and management. Our client reserves the space for Thursday, Friday & Saturday for her wedding reception. My company job was to facilitate ceiling draping once again in this space.nnHere's the problem, for a year and a half the client had been advised it was ok for us to pick up our supplies on Monday due to the fact the facility floors had to be cleaned first before we took our materials down, mind you our client planned and executed the last clients wedding reception. So today the lady who works the front office, who could have been having a terrible day, could be a stickler for the rules or a racists I do not know but rude and uncompromising yes. Advised the bride that she needed to having everything gone per contract by 2 am, again reference back to communicating for a year and a half.nNow as a vendor I excepted the job because of the opportunity of coming on the following Monday and I collect our belongings.nnI apologize for rambling but my point is the manager of the facility who's not a business owner would not even exercise common sense. We put up ceiling draping that enhanced the space, they would not even reach out to their other client and see if extra decor would be a problem.nnSo basically I don't believe this venue are willing to work with their clients. You will have problems working with this staff, they are city employees who care too much about there jobs and not you the client.nnFind an alternative venue to host your next event, save yourself the headache, the lady in the front office maybe a good person, maybe a great neighbor but she's not a business owner.

Had so much fun at.the Mardi Gras ball at the community center in New Roads. Very nice center. Great for any type of entertainments.

A good place to have fun and have family time together.
