Went to Del Rio last night. Service was great. They kept out drinks filled and the chips and salsa coming. We ordered 3 meals, 2 of which were special orders (no beans, etc) and they came out correctly. Food was hot and very good. They also have a good selection of draft beer.
Used to frequent here a lot. Must have been a new cook tonight. Ordered my usual and the portions were smaller and the meal just wasn’t cooked as good as usual. Last few times has been an act of god just to get my order correct. Probably going to find a new restaurant. No familiar faces.
About 5 people dining in restaurant and service was good the first 10 minutes, but after drinks and chips were served, we saw the waitress maybe 2x. One to take order and owner actually brought order to us. None of the other servers were actually working either, standing around talking to each other. What made the trip worth it was the food. The food was really good. Eaten at the restaurant at beginning of year several times during the year and had better service.
Good atmosphere
Always wonderful. Great crowd of customers. Excellent food at a great price. Great entertainment. Great place to watch the games. Restaurant is not filled with a lot of employees friends over drinking like Old Fountain Tavern door. Del Rio will be here a long time. Old fountain will go down in history because of how they run there restaurant. The employees drink to much at the Tavern.
