We have been members for years and find everyone so welcoming. Dr. King is an amazing pastor and preacher. His message is always on point and directed at bringing people to Christ. Love this church.

First, I want to state that I have not attended this church, but I have watched about a half dozen services on line, so my evaluation is based on my limited experience. I apologize if my review is inaccurate due to that fact.nnThe impression my husband and I received from the message archives is that this is a liberal church. The pastor(s) do not give invitations for commitment to Jesus Christ as one's personal Lord and Savior, which I find unusual for a Baptist Church.nnThe sanctuary is beautiful, and the feeling I receive from the website is that they are welcoming and friendly to visitors.

As a former member of JCBC, but not under Pastor King, my experiences with Pastor King have been overwhelmingly positive. He was present and comforting with my family members upon the death of my mother, even though he had no direct relationship with any of our family members. He is visibly engaged and compassionate towards members of a men's crisis ministry that attends the church on a regular basis. His sermons are thought provoking and challenging even to long time and passionate followers of Jesus. In my experience, he is the real deal.nnMore importantly, the entire congregation of believers at JCBC are kind, loving, and still feel like family when we return to visit during the holiday season. To me, that is the best sign of a church that is God honoring, Christ following, and Spirit led.
