Cartersville Medical Center

My elderly parents were treated here several times, and I have also spent some time there. We have always had a good experience with wonderful, caring nurses and equally good hospitalists. We also like that it's convenient and not hard too navigate. Grateful that we have such a good hospital in our town.

Took my daughter the other day and had GREAT service. She still had problems so returned tonight. Waited and watched as people came and went. Waited about an hour after they started calling people who came in after us...you never know who needs care first right? So after about 5 or 6 people who had come in after us were called I approached the desk to inquire where we were in the line. The nurse said youre next unless there is a heart attack or something very serious. A few minutes later they called 2 more people back...making it about 6 people that entered after us. I figured after sitting for 3 hours we should go home. She was vomiting and had a severe headache and was slouched over in a wheelchair so the least I could do was make her comfortable. But then I realized that 2 families that left before being seen were black. My daughter noticed it too. One woman with a young child left before getting treatment. We left before getting treatment. I hate to think that racial disparity played a role in this but with all that's going on in the world today I can't help but wonder. There was no concern shown to us at all when we left although the nurse at the desk did call a charge nurse or supervisor. She said someone would be out to speak to me but by then I had already taken my daughter to the car and came back inside to ask for their names. At that point I just wanted to get my daughter home. I pray my daughter recovers...she can't even hold down the medication she was given the night prior. We truly were patient and waited with no complaints until the very end.

We had our baby Oakley here at Cartersville medical. The labor unit is amazing! All the nurses and doctors that helped us and our baby along the way are true blessings. The nurses were so nice and treated us better than I could have ever imagined. I hope all the nurses and staff can see this because we truly appreciated everything! Thank you so much

Went in for my surgery and every person I came across was kind and warm. I stayed the night and all of the nurses and NA's, hostess, to the housekeeper made me feel so welcomed and cared for. I couldn't ask for a more comfortable place to recover. Thank you to all the people who took care of me while I was recovering, such a great group of people and the food was great as well!

The staff were very attentive and did everything possible to make me comfortable. I felt like they cared about me. I am thankful we have such high-quality care and treatment here in Cartersville!
