I was charged nearly $600 for a treatment for my dog, a Doberman pincher, who has received extensive treatment on a regular basis from South Kendall Animal Hospital over the years. The veterinary refused to treat Mocha unless I received the full diagnostics and treatment for $ 600 when I did not have the means to pay for such a treatment. An option could have been to go with the ultrasound instead of the X-ray and ultrasound, which would have cost approximately $300. Either way I was happy to be able to use that initial assessment to get Mocha treatment through more affordable means. I feel that the veterinarian could have worked with me on the prices, instead of initial asking me to sign an Against Medical Advice treatment form (understandable if someone has insurance and refuses absolutely necessary and affordable treatment)

I've been taking my pets to SKAH for over 20 yrs and i wouldn't go anywhere else. The staff is absolutely the best. They are friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. Every doctor that I have seen there over the past 20+ yrs has been wonderful, caring, great bedside manner and knowledgeable. The doctors there take their time and explain everything to you, they always give you an estimate first and then discuss your options with you. This is a great place for your fur babies. I've never had any issues or bad experiences at SKAH. i would definitely recommend this facility to friends, family and strangers. Keep up the good work.

Incredible first experience ... this place wont rip you off like others do and might just win you over... Dr. Weir and Dr. Mcomby are fantastic... you cant go wrong here.

I unfortunately had to put my best friend down yesterday and the staff there handled the whole thing with great respect and dignity. They even asked if I wanted to pay before so I could just leave afterward. I thought this was extremely thoughtful. Also the cost was really easy to understand and was reasonable.

I brought my cat here for a chronic ear problem. Cats aren't known for being very cooperative and mine is no different. They handled her with care and professionalism not seen in other vet's office. They call back when you leave messages and talk you through everything and make sure you understand whatever is going on with your pet. Each one of the staff is gentle with each pet brought in ( no matter how difficult some are) and it's a relief for me to have found them.
