This trip was to the Sam's Club Pharmacy, not to Sam's to make a purchase. The Pharmacy is usually a good and quick experience, as it was this time. Angela, the Pharmacist, is polite and you have the feeling that she really cares about her customers/patients. When we get a new prescription she always has a moment if you need a consultation or if you have questions about your medication. There are times when they can have issues with prescriptions. Unless the need is urgent, I usually wait at least 24 hours before I try to pick it up at this pharmacy as it is always pretty busy.nnThe Pharmacy also closes I believe at around 12 to 1pm so they can all have lunch, so do not show up at that time to try and pick up your meds. Also, it is also a good idea to use the app to manage and track your prescriptions and to know when it is ready.

I must be going to a different pharmacy than the one other people are reviewing, because my experience is consistently great. I go to the one at 1707 W. 23rd St in Panama City FL.nnWhen my script is ready, a text is sent letting me know. If I need it filled in a hurry, they have it ready in less time than it takes me to circle around the store. The fact that I am in the store a couple of times a week for regular shopping makes filling prescriptions at Sam's Club very convenient to pick them up.nnEverybody there recognizes me, and some of them even know my cat's name (they do pet prescriptions, too). I have a different surname than my bride, and most of the staff know both names.nnIf I receive a new drug, I always get a consultation with a pharmacist, and never need to ask for it. If one drug isn't working well or is quite expensive, I receive a good discussion on alternatives when I ask. I still need to get the alternative prescribed by a doctor, but I am well prepared to discuss the matter.

Prices are not discounted. In our case 40% more than Publix pharmacy. People are friendly though.

If I could rate a negative star, that’s what I’d pick. The staff are incompetent and rather go to a real pharmacy not a throw back food store one. Sams club probably should of focused on the grocery aspect of their business because this pharmacy is laughably one of the worst!
