After putting it off for many years, my wife and I finally upgraded our kitchen. A friend recommended Charlottesville Granite Countertops -Commonwealth Granite in Madison. The one major thing that got our attention was the quote. Compared to others (i.e. Lowes, IKEA, and Discover), the cost was considerably lower. When you’re ready to select a company, understand that there will be additional costs, such as demolition, the actual sink, etc. Make sure you get the “out-the-door” final cost with whomever you choose. If you’re handy, god bless, you’ll save yourself hundreds of dollars. If not, you’ll also need a plumber to swing by and put everything back together for you. So a 2-man team showed up and knocked out the work in 2 hours. The workers were very polite and professional. I can’t say enough great things about Frank, the owner, and our overall experience. Quality work at an affordable price.

CommonWealth Granite - DIY Kitchens did a great job, for our house, which was LISTED and ACTIVE at the time, in 3 days including the measurements, they came out and put in new counters, sinks and faucet for a great price. Uber professional at all times I would definitely recommend them to anyone. I plan on having them do our current home too. Great guys, great service, what else do you want... BTW Lowe's wanted me to wait 3 weeks!

I love my new countertop. The granite is beautiful. I contacted few countertop fabricators in Charlottesville area to compare prices and get information. Even two companies showed up from northern Virginia, and they were very sketchy. the other two places in Cville were way high in their prices so I decided to go with commonwealth/ diy. Boy am I happy with my decision. Not only the price was great but also the service. On time, clean and professional. I would recommend them to all my friends and family.
