This is an amazing u haul, Corban Nuber was extremely helpful and any issues or concerns i had was addressed immediately. They helped take some of the stress with moving (especially cross country). I highly recommend this location for all your moving needs.

You know I never had problems when the manager is here to have my propane filled. He takes the picture, weight it, and make sure it is up to date. EVERY TIME. Never have a problem. But whenever he is not there. I get lied too, told to come back in a hour, and they close, or they find some way to not fill my tank. If the employees do not want to fill propane tanks then maybe this shouldn't be a place to have a propane fill station. I shouldn't have to wait til manager is there, or if not travel 25 minutes to Norfolk to get it done.

NEVER USING UHAUL AGAIN!!! I reserved my truck a month in advance just to receive a phone call 15min before my scheduled pick up for them to tell me that they didn't have the truck I requested available. I called EVERY location in Portsmouth to get an alternate truck because the clerk at the Churchland location wouldn't look for another truck for me. I ended up having to call a location in Newport News on 48th St in order to get any quality service where an employee found a truck for me in Chesapeake but credited me $48 for the inconvenience of me calling so many offices since this location in Churchland didn't have the truck I reserved. I go to pick up the truck in Chesapeake to have these 2 incompetent women rebook my appt, DELETING MY CREDIT and charging me for a truck for 2 days when I only asked for one. To make matters worse, I paid for an appliance dolly that they did NOT put in the truck. When I got back to Portsmouth to start loading the truck after hours of being given the run around by Uhaul, I find out the dolly isnt in the truck. I call the Woodlake location back and Misty offers to BRING ME THE DOLLY AFTER SHE GETS OFF WORK like WTH. I suggested that she just call the Churchland location and I will pick it up from there. Sadly, the Churchland location charged me AGAIN for the same dolly that Woodlake charged me for. I drop the truck back off where I picked it up at the Woodlake location later on that night. 3 days later, I get a call from the Military Highway location (mind you, I had NEVER spoke to or had any dealings with anyone at that location) asking me what time I returned the truck to them. UHAUL IS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS I HAVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH. THEN THEY HAD THE NERVE TO OVERCHARGE ME, ASK FOR MORE MONEY VIA EMAIL AND THEN JUST DECIDED TO KEEP THE MONEY THAT THEY ALREADY TOOK OFF MY CARD, DESPITE HONORING THE CREDIT I RECEIVED, DESPITE CHARGING ME FOR MY ACTUAL USAGE AND WHAT I ACTUALLY REQUESTED. The company's customer service isn't helpful at all, nor are they doing anything to help remedy the issue. Its been 3 weeks and I've been emailing and calling them smh. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. BETTER LUCK LOOKING FOR A LOCAL MOVING COMPANY

I was on site at 7am to pick up my truck (actually 6:45). I wasn't allowed to pick up the truck until after 7:45 because they had waxed the floors. When I called needing an extra hour (you all know traffic here) I was told sure no problem, keep it until 5pm and then was charged an extra day's rental. So they being late delayed me all day and I had to pay extra for it. If I charged people extra in my line of work and didn't tell them upfront, I'd be out of a job. Never doing business here again.
