I went to return some food I could no longer use due to my dog going on a strict diet. I didn't know I could return open food, I was planning on donating the open food. My plan was to return the canned food. I told them I was returning the canned and wanted to donate the open bag food and calming pills my dog didn't like. Turns out I was able to return it all.

As a fish and reptile person, this store has the WORST customer service. Very rarely is someone back there to bag crickets or fish. Not worth the time going here when I can just drive a little further to get my needs met quickly.

Clean and well organized. Didn't have what I came for, but that's alright. Still a very nice Petco. I'm told it's where the pets go.

Sadly Petco is slowly loosing our business. We used to take our dog consistently to a PetCo store for grooming in Virginia Beach. After moving to Chesapeake, I have found this PetCo grooming to be nothing like the others. The groomers seem to be 'animal' people but do not actually know animals or what to do with a trained one. I supposed I shouldn't have such high hopes for a franchise but we were so happy in the past with the Virginia Beach locations I thought this would be a similar experience. Along with the poor grooming services, it's hard to find what you need. Although the store is clean and organized, it has a small inventory of dog beds and items and we can never find what we are looking for in the store. I wish my review could be better, overall I really like the PetCo brand but now I am left disappointed with the grooming services and inventory selection at this location.
