Nice place. Lots of history and a lot to learn about the native life.

I am from Michigan and visited Fairbanks by myself. On my first day I was expecting to sleep in but woke up early and didn't know what to do for the day (I had plans for all the other days).  Unfortunately for me, most tours require at least two people.  I called Bill's Shuttle and Charter Services on the spur of the moment, and Bill arranged a day trip (for as many hours as I wanted) with Ryland Canyon.  Ryland asked what I wanted to do, what I wanted to see, and we were off!  The price was very reasonable, even for an entire day!nI don't care much for shopping, or touring cities or even small towns, so Ryland suggested we go to Denali National Park.  While most of it was closed (this was late October), the ride there was beautiful.  We stopped at several scenic overlooks, and I got to take a ton of pictures.nRyland knows this area very very well.  He was extremely helpful in deciding where to go and what to see.  He is knowledgeable about the area (the history, culture, nature, etc.) and on many, many other subjects.  A very delightful conversationalist.  We spent five or six hours driving around Alaska, seeing so many new sights, and Ryland was wonderfully informative and pleasant.nI highly recommend this company and also recommend Ryland as a tour guide.nThank you, Ryland, for a wonderful, beautiful day!!!nSincerely,nAnnette

Wandered in here on my last stay in Fairbanks just because I had time to kill. What a nice surprise! Super clean, public bathrooms and a great staff. Ended up spending two hours there looking at all the neat displays. Make sure to visit the gift shop.

One of the less helpful visitors centres we've visited along our trip but the museum is worth taking the time to explore. Free parking.

Free museum with insights into life in the interior of Alaska. Also had some free materials on activities to do throughout the state.
