The pharmacist took the time to get us a prescription for $0 that would have otherwise cost us over $2000 per month. He did in 1 hour what we have tried to do for the last 4 months. Amazing. We are so grateful!
I have been going to this pharmacy for nearly 10 months now, so this is not based on 1 or 2 visits. I have lived with a disease that requires daily treatment and many, many different prescriptions for well over 10 years now and will live with it for the rest of my life. I mention this because it means I have spent countless hours in pharmacies to get medication, making phone calls for refills / pick ups, updating insurance info, providing proof of coverage, etc. I understand working in a pharmacy is not easy and it can be extremely demanding, I also realize the people you will interact can be.. quite nasty when it comes to their patience and attitude. However, even with that understanding this place really drops the ball. I have had several very positive experiences here, but I have had significantly more negative ones. When calling to request a refill, info, or just about anything else I am usually directed to someone who seems personally upset or unfriendly because I interrupted their day and is trying to get off of the phone ASAP whilst providing the least amount of help. Whenever I receive a voicemail informing me my medication is ready, it is very normal for this to not be the case when I arrive. I have regularly been presented with ridiculous costs because the employee checking me out did process my insurance information correctly (I don't understand why this is even an issue because I have retained the same insurance and personal information the entirety of being a customer here.) The employees I've spoken with when confused and looking for an explanation have given me false or useless information (which I only realize is untrue after wasting several hours of my time over the phone with my doctors office and pharmacy.) I have been able to pick up a 90 day supply of medication ONE time in nearly a year, despite being told I would only be forced into purchasing 30 day supplies the first 2 months of my insurance change. (Yes, I have my doctor send 90 day prescriptions to the pharmacy as the employees told me to do so, somehow.. this issue still persists.) I love Costco and will continue shopping there because I think overall they are a wonderful company with high standards when it comes to customer service, it is simply disheartening to see their pharmacy does not share this trait. I don't want to rip on this place for the sake of being upset, I genuinely would love to see this place improve, I know it is possible. I know there are hard working and intelligent staff members here, please stop letting a few bad apples ruin their reputation.
I've had nothing but good experiences here. I don't like to give 5 stars for anything but i feel like this pharmacy is underated
This place is so understaffed. Always a huge line and not enough people to help. Slowest pharmacy I’ve ever been to. Dread going every single time.
I have a hard time getting home from work and to Costco pharmacy weekdays before they close and always missed them by just a few min when i remember to stop in. I remembered tonight to stop and got there about 10 min too late forgetting again they close an hr before the store. The lights were out up front but the pharmacist was there answering another ladies question about an over the counter item. I rolled the dice and asked if she could help me still get the script so I didn’t have to make another special trip in. She said the register was closed so she couldn’t which wasn’t a big deal and I understood. I told her about forgetting they close earlier than the store and not to worry about it and thanked her. I asked if she knew I’d i could maybe call in the am and see about having the script transferred to a pharmacy near my office i may be able to get to easier during business hrs so I’d quit missing them and so I didn’t need to make a special trip back in. She said hated I needed to do that and she’d see if someone would just come help her check me out so i could take the script tonight. I told her no worries and I’d just call and work it out tomorrow but she helped me and saved me from not having time to try again another day or take time to call And have it moved. She went above and beyond helpful and I couldn’t be more appreciative in her effort to help save me some precious time. 👍🏼 To the Pharmacist and to Jessica P for being so kind to help in a pinch even in their after hrs.
