A guy on a base with a Camera was complaining about a 30 minute wait to see the museum. It amazes me an area that shot missiles at Russia and was the U.S. first line of defense is so sheltered he doesn't understand the danger of them. The museum is great and the AFB is extremely nice also. I can't think of too many Air Force Bases that are not nice though.

Great military history museum showing the progression of our missile defense

The planes are beautiful and wonderful to behold. However gaining access to this museum requires you to submit your I.D. Have your pointer fingers scanned digitally. A photo of yourself taken. Wait about 30 minutes for the military, yes military to scan your I.D. Before they allow you entry. Upon which you have to be escorted directly to the museum before you are allowed to admire the planes. As a Canadian this process was easier. If you live outside of North America they will hold your passport for 72 hours before you are gained entry. Which I saw denied of A Swiss family which to me seems ironic. They're a neutral country.

Museum was closed, but the outside display was great.

Was stationed here 1976 - 1979. Best assignment I ever had. This was before the museum had the quality it does now. This is a great stop for any non-military. Great display
