A very pleasant surprise! Lost of cool stuff. The people who run it are very nice and knowledgeable. The older gentleman (in the photo)is really fun to talk to. Has great stories. I learned that almost every piece of flagstone in the US comes from Ash Fork. Not much else in Ash Fork, but if you’re going by, it’s a good stop.

Quick stop on route 66. Visitor center has a free museum attached (Donations accepted) showcasing several scenes from there 50s. Interactive museum with a gift store to grab your Route 66 memorabilia.nnDon’t forget to ask about the Route 66 Passport! It’s a free small book that includes roadside attractions while cruising the original highway!nnParking is free but limited to smaller vehicles or shorter RVS. Larger RVs can park along the entrance road before entering the gated parking lot.

We stopped in on our way home to Canada from the Grand Canyon. Our host Fraelean? Was such an amazing lady. Steve and I enjoyed her knowledge and friendliness. Thank you so much.

Perfectly welcoming place to stop to use toilets and eat our bag lunch on way to Bullhead City from Tuba City. Friendly greeter. Smart gift shop. The museum items showed off a jail and farm implements. Lot of nicely done mannequins embody life in harsh desert. Equipment and tools gathered from local donors are featured. We even played on historic shuffle board to unwind from driving. We appreciatively donated $5.
