I called last-minute, and Joe was very accommodating with getting me in. I didn't ride with Joe for my trail ride but one of his hands, Corbyn, who was great! He was a pleasure to ride with, and he was knowledgeable about the area and showed me petroglyphs during our ride. Great experience! I will be back.

Joe Saenz of Wolfhorse Outfitters provides clients with an immersive experience in the Gila. His horses are amazing, capable of serene trail riding and more adventurous excursions, too. Joe know the wildlife and history of this place like few others. He draws from his Apache heritage to bring history to life. We saw rock art and ancient stone shelters from millenia ago. Highly recommend the experience for anyone looking for an off-the-beaten-path adventure.

Joe is great. Don't hesitate for a second to go ride with him. He's super laid back and easy going. He's a pleasure to chat with and to learn from about local Apache history and traditions. He also showed me some petroglyphs. His place is easy to find. You'll be happy you went.

Joe was amazing...knowledgable, humorous, competent, peaceful. He shared insights into how his people used different plants and how they lived, and where and how other indigenous people lived in the area, as we rode. We sometimes rode on defined trails and many times were encouraged to ride on our own, but keep within eyesight. The ride was great and never boring. We rode up and down hills, in and out of gullies and creek beds, and in tight places. The horses were well mannered and responsive. We saw plenty of plants, wildlife, including a herd of elk, and petroglyphs. Would do it again in a heartbeat!!!
