My husband and I really enjoyed the soup and salad we had. But I will say we both agreed the fried calamari was awful. The breading did not stick, it was burnt and it tasted like old oil. To leave off on a positive note our son enjoyed his kids pizza.

Food was great for the price! Service was prompt and very friendly. They have two separate outdoor dining areas to accommodate guests that want to dine in. Overall good experience. Giving 4 stars instead of 5, because there was only one server for roughly 8 tables and he was also the bartender, so while Max did a great job under the workload he struggled slightly to keep up and stay on top of refills and other minor things.

The service is top notch and the food is exceptional. I am writing this review after 5 visits usually i don't rate huge franchise chains 5 stars but BJ's Folsom has been top notch in all areas 5/5 service, food. Personal favorites Veggies deep dish pizza, flat bread, pizookie

They have figured out this outdoor dining. It was a cold and windy day in Folsom, but my wife and I were warm and toasty. I had the Brisket burger and my wife had the flatbread lunch. Both were good. Service was great.

A friend of mine made reservations for a large table about a month in advance. We show up ready to eat with our party. They tell us that their is at least an hour wait on our table. What's the point of making reservations if we have to wait over an hour? Anyway, so we wait. About 20 minutes go by and we continue to wait in the hope that maybe they are able to figure something out. There are people that didn't have reservations that were coming in and actually being seated before us. We get sick of it because of how hungry we were, and we all walked over to Jack's Urban Eats, waited in line there, ordered our food, sat down, got our food, started eating, and finally after about AN HOUR AND A HALF, we get a notification that are table is ready. If we would have stayed to eat at BJ's, we would have had a rushed dinner and would have been late to the event we were going to. Honestly, I've eaten at BJ's before with smaller groups of people and the experiences were decent; nice staff, good food, etc. But, it was very disappointing how they handled reservations and the seating situation. This was a little while back, so hopefully they have made some changes.
