I understand nothing is free. But you can park at the mall or a casino for free with greater ease. Most people do not want to be going to the hospital and to have parking that at times can be a total mess is just that extra pain you don't need. On top of it you have to pay on the way out and if some one has an issue with the machine in the lot be prepared to sit for a while. If you have to park here I would recommend paying inside before leaving. If you drive a large vehicle but can take a compact car I would bring that parking spots are tight.

Hard place to park for handycap thehill to walk up is not good

Easier to park on weekends, good access to RI Hospital's Jane Brown building.
