Sail on Hope San

This was my first time on a sailboat and it was such a great experience! After being home for so long, this was such a great breath of fresh air. Patrick and Monika were really lovely. They took all necessary precautions and were so welcoming! We had perfect sail weather and the scenery was amazing. I went with my three friends beginning of June and this was the highlight of our trip. I’m planning on going back to Newport so when I do I will definitely do this again! It’s a must on things to do if you’re in Newport, Rhode Island and highly recommend sailing with Patrick and Monika!

We had a great day sail in Newport, R.I. on a unique restored 1958 sailboat custom built in Hong Kong. As instructed, we met the launch at Sayer’s Wharf which took us to “Hope San” which is moored in the harbor. It’s such a gorgeous boat, and just pulling up alongside I knew it was going to be a special trip. We started at 10:00 and did a four hour sail down to Castle Hill lighthouse, across to Jamestown, under the Newport Bridge... under sail. They provide water and we brought Sandwiches and drinks too. If you are looking to sail in Newport, then know this experience is like having a good friend with a 42’ yacht.

Hope San is a beautiful boat! Patrick and Monika were amazing and gave us a great tour of newport. The perfect end to our weekend in town for a wedding. Highly recommend, will definitely be going out for another sail with them

We enjoyed our time with Patrick and Monika so much last year that we returned again this year with friends for another great sail. 2019n----------------------------------nPatrick and Monika were made the end of our vacation stay in Newport a fantastic experience. We went on a last minute four hour sunset cruise and were fortunate to have strong, steady winds. Hope San is a beautiful boat. Patrick and Monika are able captain and crew. They’re also great guides and pleasant company. 2018
