I love this library with their thoughtful collection of CD's, art exhibits and strong book collection. The only reason I don't give the library 5 stars are their computers. The home screen is oddly set up with different sections for different icons. This is a good idea, but because no else does it and not one has ever seen it before is just confusing. Making it worse the task bar is hidden so it is hard to navigate between open apps. Once a person is done using the computer and logs off the entire computer shuts down and then restarts, which takes a while. I think someone has overthought the computers and made them more confusing than they need to be.

A wonderful Library! There is a great selection of reading material . Current movies are offered and computers are available. The charming and friendly staff is always on hand to help.nYou will find a revolving art exhibit sponsored by the Conanicut Island Art Association, Jamestown’s first and oldest art association of 45 years.nThere is also a fabulous playground for the kids just outside the doors! Please enjoy while on the island!

The Jamestown Philomenian Library is a very good small public library, perhaps the best library of its size in the state of Rhode Island. Kudos to the knowledgeable staff for their efforts. The collection offers a nice balance with excellent reference, fiction and non-fiction selections. They also possess excellent local history and children collections. The library often displays local art and history, and plays host to lectures, meetings and social events. All Jamestowners should pay a visit to this great little institution.

Nobody can beat the Jamestown library. I never even visited another library because its so good here :P.

Extremely helpful and highly qualified individuals who always have a smile on their face. I truly appreciate them when it comes to computer usage.
