This Doctor misdiagnosed my 9 month old child who at the time had a severe ear infection in both ears. My children had been patients at that practice for 7years before Dr. Amaio was forced upon us. My child was not feeling well so we took her in to be seen by this man. I was telling him at the visit that I thought she might have an ear infection because she kept pulling at her ears and she has cold like symptoms. Her ears were red hot on fire. He looked in my child's ears and said they were fine. That night we ended up taking a trip to the ER because she was in pain. The ER diagnosed her with not one horrible ear infection all the way down to her ear drum but in both ears. How could he miss this? It took 3 months and 3 different medications to make her comfortable. 8 months later we are still dealing with problems with her ears. I pulled Mr. Amiao to the side as a concerned parent! And I guess he didn't take that to well. Because 2 months later, after 8 years of my children being patients there, he drops us from the practice for a missed appointment! How convenient! I ask myself what if this had been more serious, like a misdiagnosed Cancer! Something to think about!!!! Beware when choosing this Dr.
