My family has purchased many instruments, mostly guitars and guitar accessories, from Valley Music across several decades. Valley Music's goal is there to sell you high quality instruments regardless of the brand. They introduced us to Blueridge acoustic guitars over 20 years ago. In the early 2000s it was not a very well known name. The Blueridge guitars we bought from Lyn sound and play like guitars triple the price we paid. Interestingly, the Blueridge name is now widely known and loved. Long story short: if your looking for a small shop with owners that know the music business and know a high quality instrument when they see it, go to Valley Music. You'll walk away with an instrument that you'll love and it won't empty your wallet!

Randy Sobel is the ONLY reason I keep going back. He is one of the nicest, down to earth people around and his talent is out of this world. The attention and care that he gives his students is unparalleled!nnIf it wasn't for the knowledge and kindness of Randy, I would have stopped going there years ago due to the disrespectful attitude of the cantankerous owner, Lynn.nnI can assure you that Randy is the only reason this place is still in business. I know for a fact that the owner Lynn has ticked off so many people, many whom refuse to go back, that I can't image how they would survive without the hospitality of Randy.nnI give Randy 5 stars, I only gave the review 3 stars because of the owner... who deserves 0 stars in my book. Maybe one day she will wake up and realize that she, specifically her detestable personality, is bad for business and is causing the business to lose customers.

The woman who owns this store is a scam artist!! She blately lied to me last month when I stopped in to buy my boyfriend a present. I purchased him a guitar and asked her if I could return it if my boyfriend didn't like it it. She said yes, as long as I had my receipt, I could return it. But now all of a sudden, she won't take the return and she denies even saying it, although I had another person with me, who clearly remembers her saying it too. It's sad when people can't just conduct honest business. It hasn't even been 30 days yet. She's an unreasonable con artist.
