State Construction Roofing

I found State Construction on Angie's List and glad I did. Mario and Rick were great to work with. They came to check out the problem we were having, missing shingles from storm, and started the process of getting it fixed. Contacted our insurance to get a claim going. There were some hiccups, none that were faults of State Construction, but when things were cleared up the job got done. Whole roof done so quickly. If you need a new roof, contact State Construction. They were a pleasure to work with.

Working with State Construction was great. Being a new landlord, and living out of state, I was concerned with finding someone I could trust to assess and repair the damage done by a storm. Not knowing anyone in the field, I Googled roof repair in Barberton and somehow came up with State Construction. Rick walked me through everything and was a great help in every way. I highly recommend them!

We Had storm damage from a recent storm. Mario came out and inspected our roof. He helped us with the whole claim process, made it easy and straight forward. Mario was very professional and explained the process in detail. The crew came out and replaced our roof. We did have a few very minor issues. Mario and crew went out of their way to handle them and made sure we were happy. My wife and I are very happy with our beautiful new roof. Thank you Mario and team @ State Construction. State Construction has not properly fixed/repaired damage their roofing crew created due to improperly re-mounting a DirecTV satellite dish. Satellite dishes need to be properly mounted and calibrated by authorized techs, not roofing personnel.nI spoke with the owner, Mario, about this issue.nState Construction finally sent someone out to fix the holes 2 months later, although simply used black tar or caulk and plugged the holes. The repair looks terrible and is not correctly repaired, per the owner's stated method. See the attached photos for reference or their 'fix' due to their staff incorrectly re-mounting the dish. The dish wouldn't have been functional as mounted.nState Construction was paid the entire invoice amount.nI've left numerous voicemails, emails and text messages, with no reply in the last 6 weeks. And still haven't recurved any reply as to why they repaired the new roof that way, and when they can make it right.nAside from the specific issue above, they are terrible at communication. We found out that they were coming to replace our roof one day before, and while we were out of state on vacation. Never received notice about their schedule. I had originally communicated to their sales office that I did not want the roof installed in the cold weather of late Fall or Winter, and would wait until Spring/Summer. This was also recommended by the independent roofing engineer.nThey don't have physical samples of shingles to review and choose from.nDamaged a number of shrubs at the front of our house.nCleanup wasn't the best - pieces of shingles and nails stuck in gutters and between house & gutters.nThere are too many good roofing companies out there to settle for this one. Do your homework and don't sign any contracts before they go up on your roof. This is the only company that required that, or else I would have moved on to a different company.

Had storm damage from several storms during spring 2020. Called several roofing contractors and liked Mario the best. Made working with insurance a breeze and got our roof installed pretty fast. During the install our yard looked like a bomb went off but by the time they were finished for the day (job completed same day) the yard was spotless. You would have never known anyone was there working. Probably only found three nails and a few small shingle pieces in my yard from the tear off. Never had an issue communicating with him, which is impressive considering how busy they are. Needed something looked at with the gutters after the roof job was done and he was quick to get one of his guys out to check on it. Roof looks great, no leaks so far...we’re happy.
