Tuff Shed

I bought a custom shed in August 2020. I purchased through Home Depot that was the easy part. I had multiple install dates setup with no show and no calls. I emailed, called multiple sites in and out of Michigan, I even called corporate office with no answers. I went on the website and sent in a question through there. Finally Cindy Crawford from a different state, called me to find out what was going on. She was the only one to get anything moving. Then the first installer showed up and the flooring beams where to long and he wasn't going to cut them, so he took the beams back with him and left the shed. He put the inside of the door directly on the ground, which caused mold on the door. He didn't even cover the shed, I had to cover with a tarp to protect from the weather. I never heard from that installer again. Then I contacted Cindy again because nothing was happening again. Another installer contacted me, John Gumro, who was wonderful. He showed up on a Saturday to install to find out he couldn't finish since the previous installer didn't leave the brackets for the shelves. He was able to contact a manager who was supposed to contact me the following Monday, which did not happen. The installer was having them get me a new door without mold, an extra shelf and a ramp because of all the hassles I have been going through. John plans on getting the shelves, door and ramp installed. Cindy has even called to check in to make sure everything is moving along. With the exception of Cindy and John, Tuff shed is terrible. I love my shed but it is not worth all of the problems to get it. My husband and I put our other shed together without all of the headaches I got from this.

Our experience with Tuff Shed began very well. We had an excellent experience with our sales rep in Toledo, Cindy Crawford. She was very thorough in the sales process, answering all of our questions about the shed and the installation process, and making my husband and I feel like valued customers. Her help would also prove to be invaluable during issues with the installation process, and I do not think we would have been able to resolve the issues without her assistance.nnThe shed that we purchased and installed was very good quality, and we are pleased with the purchase. However, the installation process was troublesome and we were not pleased with the customer service that we received with the personnel in Livonia. There was a last minute delay in installation after taking time off from work to be at home for it, and would have been a second last minute delay had it not been for the difference in weather here from what was happening in Livonia. The installation work was supposed to have been performed in the morning, and they rescheduled for the afternoon at 10:30 the morning of the installation. They were able to get the shed erected but could not finish the painting of it. When the installers left, we were told that they would get back to paint it if and when someone was in our area again.nnWe live in a rural area about 1 and 1/2 hours from Livonia, and could not get any definite time from them for the project completion. But they did go in and charge us for the final payment even though the project was not done and we had not signed off as it being complete. I made two phone calls and left messages that went unreturned, and also sent several emails that were not responded to either.nnIn our frustration we contacted our sales rep Cindy Crawford again for help. She worked to get the project completed, but even she had difficulties dealing with the Livonia office for resolution. Our project was finally completed by her manager , who came out and finished the paint job himself.nnWe truly feel the the customer service on the installation side from the Livonia office personnel was terrible. Our project was successful only because of Cindy Crawford and her manager Tim, who went out of their way to help us get resolution.

Highly disappointed! Our shed arrived 6 hours late! Doors are the wrong color, shingles that were sent were wrong! We were told they would be back 1st thing this morning with the correct to finish the shed...its 3pm and nobody has been here! Nobody is answering the phones or returning our calls! Our shed is locked, the crew has the key so we can't even get into our own shed! Worst company ever!!!

We are very pleased with the 8 x 10 shed we purchased from Tuff Shed. The time from purchase to delivery was only a couple of weeks. No extra fees for delivery and assembly was also a plus. All staff members were courteous and attentive. Our Tuff Shed has much better quality than the other brands we looked at.
