Let me explain the place is in renovation still but the staff is wonderful caring and helpful I've been here awhile for medical reasons and my room is fully renovated its has a lot of room the floor is laminated and what I need due to severe allergies. They stock you up and as a former banker I know how hard it is to rebuild on your investments without a bank interfering. The rooms are reasonably comfortable and priced I do not expect a fancy Hilton cause if you do trust me you cant pay and because of my program I can go anywhere but here it is for me. Ask if you can pick your room and maybe you might be happy. Most motels want to much and one I almost had gotten bit by a spider as big as my hand renovated even. So trust me on this on Sam's Journey this place offers more than you know give them a try I am happy because I have seen everywhere especially this city. The stores are close even gas stations I actually walk to speedway they offer a lot as well.nnTHANK YOU FORnnSAM'S JOURNEY

Stopped in late to get a room for the night while traveling. The motel looks like a standard super 8 on the outside, on the inside the rooms are poorly maintained, we were given a room with 2 twin beds, despite being a non-smoking room it smelled very heavily of smoke, the shower curtains were moldy, and the faucet leaked constantly. Carpet was stained and overall had the feel of a run down motel. The clientele also seemed to be coming and going at strange times, it seemed nefarious to us. We stayed for about an hour, was told we could not have a refund(not surprised) and left at 2 am to drive down the highway about an hour where we stayed at a much nicer Marriott property for the same price ($80).

On website the building looked great! But, when we arrived it was anything but great. Lobby smelled bad. Bathroom included black mold in the handicap accessible shower. Carpets came with dirt and trash from previous guests. TV remote did not work. Asked to change rooms. New room was slightly better but had to get air spray from desk to spray into A/C to mask the mildew smell. Only stayed because it was late and everything close was booked. Slept on the couch with a blanket from my car.nBy far a MINUS 5 star rating!
