Nice and clean and quiet, but the second time I had ever been there the guy told me I had to promptly leave after an hour because they are only letting patrons in an hour at a time due to Covid. Yet, I had just been there a week or two prior and they never mentioned anything like that to me and I was there doing research for like 2 or 3 hours, so I have not idea. But I do know every single other library in the area has never and does not currently have this particular rule, so I was a little dumbfounded considering it is My tax dollars that supports the library and my access to it.
Salem Library is a very nice library. They have courteous and knowlegeable sraff. I like that the children's library is conveniently located on the ground floor...this is quite a unique feature. The reading areas are quiet and relaxing. It's like a beautiful area you might see in an old family estate.
The employees are very nice and helpful but just expect to be hounded about wearing a mask. I would like to think that by now the American people have realized that masks really don’t do anything for you, it’s just a way for the government to control you ud83dude0f
