Has always been a 5 in my book but pandemic has hurt everyone. No better cheesesteak or chicken sandwiches on the planet (and the artichoke and Italian sandwiches are not to be slept on) -- outstanding bread, well portioned, great preparation. They've changed their chicken salad for the worst. Outstanding fries and chocolate chip cookies. Great fresh lemonade. I make room for at least one trip every time I'm in Cincinnati. Some variation by location (the Mason spot, for example, is not as good as the one in Liberty Township) but not enough to be a concern.
These used to be great subs. Now they skimp on the fillings. Also I ordered mustard and got mayo on the sub....yeech. I don't think I'll be going back.
I had Chicken Teriyaki Sub. It was very tasty and chicken well cooked.
Bad customer service. On 8/7 we ordered a veggie with adding artichokes. When we received the sub it was literally bread and artichokes. We called and spoke to the manager. He told us we were supposed to specify which veggies we wanted on the veggie sub. Yet the person who took our order never asked and the website specifically says all veggies from the Dagwood come on it. The manager actually said that someone ordered that sandwich and just received bread. Are you kidding me!? This manager has lost an entire family’s business. Had he just apologized for a miscommunication and made us a new sandwich there’s be no issue and a better review.nnI have it two stars because the other items we ordered were fine.
I called to get take-out but the employee asked me to wait until I arrive, then order from the parking lot. This defeats the purpose of calling ahead and shorting the wait time. I arrived at the parking lot, then hit the redial on my phone but this time the phone went to a fax machine. In times of Covid-19, both of these acts are unsafe not to mention, childish. The teenagers who worked inside (3), choose their convenience over that of the customers they are paid to serve. This is how establishments end up going out of business. I like their sandwiches but I will not return after seeing how this place is managed.
