I've been a customer here for the past 20 years. Service here is normally good and the pizza quality great over the last 6-12 months. Last night, however, we had an issue with the pizza and reported it. The manager Joey went above and beyond to correct the issue in his follow up. As I pretty said to him, problems happen in every business, but how they're resolved is what makes the difference. Well done!
I wish I could post the picture of the pizza I just got.... I didn't know asking for extra sauce meant I was going to get a pizza with sauce dumped all over the top of it. I honestly don't know who would want to eat that. It was like soup. Definitely not worth the price. I used to like Donatos but I think I'm done with it for now. Past experiences haven't been great here, but this was just ridiculous.
As I ever so politely stated to the manager when I called last night - I've been a customer of theirs for months, I've never had a bad order, my deliveries have always been fast & therefore, I've always tipped extra well...unfortunately, last night's pizza changed all that. I can understand an order maybe gets messed up periodically but HOW ON EARTH does someone mess up an order on a pizza calling for not just pickles, but EXTRA pickles & the pizza came plain with NO PICKLES at all!!!?nI mean, that's the primary topping for crying out loud! (And yes, all you pickle on a pizza naysayers - they're the bomb!!) People who order a pepperoni pizza would be pretty upset if their pizza was delivered plain!! So, the person who made the pizza seriously messed up but doesn't anyone check the orders before they leave the building???nThe manager seemed rather annoyed by me for some reason, even though I was trying so hard to be nice. He also didn't seem to be genuinely concerned about the error.nHe did robotically offer to credit me a free pizza for next time but what he should have done is have the correct pizza that I ordered and paid for made & delivered immediately, not a credit for a pizza I'll never order now.nThe manager could have saved the day if only he had done that, but no.nNothing is worse than bad customer service.nGoodbye, Donatos.
Ordered off of the web site. I've been ordering from them for years! Now not only did I ALL OF A SUDDEN get the wrong total from the website but the workers in charge were rude. The delivery driver had me call in, then the manager proceeded to tell me that the phones are ringing (sounds overwhelmed) and he doesn't have time to explain why I had to give them MORE than what the online site told me said he had nothing to do with the site and kept talking over me. I always left a tip and a smile but this store has gotten worse with time. What happened to service with a smile? Their customer service has fallen over 70%... sadly. I only wanted the price straightened so that the driver could get his whole tip... after that incident, I'm ok with no more donatos. It's shouldn't be a bad experience over something as simple as pizza. I hope you all have better luck and be blessed all.
Always quality....we have been getting pizza from this location for 15 years and we've never had a bad experience. I don't understand the low reviews at all. GREAT delivery times too!
