Drove in there on the way to work this morning as the alternator was going on my car. They were kind, courteous and fast. Had the part ordered and fixed in a couple of hours. Saved the day and stuck to the original price they quoted me.

I'm new to this area and found out the hard way that you are charged just to have a mechanic look at your car. So it cost me $112 for the mechanic to tell me that I had an old car (10yrs) and that things can go wrong at anytime. In my case the a/c went. Now if I would have been told that there was a fee for looking under the hood I WOULD NOT HAVE SAID OK. I was told that this is Westchester County and that's how it's done. I come from the Bronx and it's NOT done that way. They check for free then tell you what's wrong with your car and if you want to go ahead with the job. So if I ever need a mechanic to look under the hood I'll just go back to the Bronx. This was $112 that I really didn't need to spend in this manner. I really feel cheated.
