Very nice & helpful people

I spend most of my time in the children's section. There are tons of picture books that are well organized, lots of board books, new books on a regular basis, and great toys--play kitchen, costumes, coloring. There's another room for older kids with tons of books, a room for groups and crafts, and a single bathroom with counter built in for a changing table.nMy husband loves the desks upstairs when he needs a quiet place to study.

I was overdue on my books due to my son being ill and in the hospital. I called the library and explained and even though some of my books were overdue and some were on reserve, they were kind, empathetic and gracious to me and extended the due date. On the day of the new due date, my mother died and I was again unable to return my books and again they were kind, empathetic and gracious. Thank you to the wonderful librarians at the Lockport Library!

It's a great facility for the casual library user. It would be nice to have additional quiet study space since there always seems to be people in there. Library staff are friendly and helpful. The children's section looks like a welcoming space with lots of colors and activities.
