Hollingsworth Horses

The best horseback riding experience I have ever had. Not your typical follow the leader trail ride. Mercy, our guide did an excellent job teaching us about our horses and the land that we were riding on. We were also allowed to ride on our own if we were experienced enough and felt comfortable doing so. We felt 100% comfortable with our horses. I never once felt unsafe riding by ourselves. The horses were extremely well trained. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I have been riding most of my life and this was one of the best rides I have ever had.

Last week we were able to ride with Meagan at Hollingsworth Farm and had the most amazing time. I rode with our 12 year old daughter who immediately connected with Meagan and their shared love for horses. Meagan is an amazing host and guide and was just a pure pleasure to ride with that day. The landscape is stunning and so free to ride in the area and see the beauty. This was absolutely one of the best stops on our entire vacation. Thank you Meagan for the great day with my family!

We had a great day at Hollingsworth Horses! The horses were so happy, the grounds were stunning and the ride was so calming and beautiful. Mercy did an excellent job explaining everything we needed for a safe ride and also how to communicate with the horses. He told us what we needed to know and what was important to keep everyone safe. He also told is about everything we saw and found in our ride- he is very knowledgeable! Thank you for a great day!

I cannot rave enough about my experience here! My boyfriend and I went together. We were paired with horses based on our skills levels and horse personality. We got to ride around the round pen to familiarize ourselves with our horses until we were fully comfortable. We then got to start our hour of riding anywhere throughout the beautiful 100+ acres of property. The handler and guide, Kristin, was AMAZING! She was so friendly and personable, made us feel completely comfortable, and was fantastic at providing us with everything we needed to know to feel safe and comfortable throughout the experience. We had such a great time that we decided to purchase another hour of riding that day. I am now obsessed with horseback riding. They take amazing care of all the horses, are so knowledgeable, and make the experience simply dreamworthy. I will never stop recommending them to anyone who goes to the black hills. If I could give them 100 stars, I would!

This isn’t like your typical nose to tail trail ride! Great sensory with plenty to explore! My guide Mercy was very knowledgeable about the area rocks and plants. We are definitely coming back for another ride! If you have some experience you have the option of exploring the area on your own!!! 5 stars!
