Great experience! My wife and I have not done any outdoor climbing, but were willing to be challenged! We started on a fun climb up Beer and Pretzels overlooking Sylvan Lake! Jeff did a great job at understanding our skill levels and accommodating climbs to both push us, allow us to learn, and most of all enjoy our time! I would definitely recommend this experience. We are excited to climb more now that we have some skills to work with and are excited to climb again when we visit the Black Hills next time. Big thanks again to Jeff for being so professional, knowledgeable, and answering all our questions. Get out there and climb some crystals in the beautiful Black Hills!! :)

Great day out with Brandon last week! He’s an awesome guide and got me up several beautiful and fun climbs. I love climbing around Sylvan Lake! The rock is spectacular and the views amazing. Thanks to Sylvan Rocks for providing such a wonderful experience!

Amazing guide service and down to Earth people! We had some experience going in, but Jeff spent a lot of time teaching us the skills we requested. They are very flexible and make it easy to customize your day. They are very knowledgeable of the area and took us up spectacular climbs with beautiful views perfect for our skill level! Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Recommend the 8 hour day if you're wanting instruction.

We booked a 6 hour lesson with Brandon and Chris in early September, 2020. We are a family of 5 with kids age 11, 9 and 6. This was our first outdoor rock climbing experience and it was amazing! We thought we would be getting to scale some large boulders outside. In the end, three of us climbed to the top of Rhinoceros Rock, a mountain in Custer State Park that is 130 feet high! Brandon and Chris were great guides and teachers. They worked extremely well with the kids, including helping my 6 year old not be afraid of heights and feel safe. They were very thorough, safe and fun. I highly recommend using Sylvan Rocks Climbing School if you are anywhere close to the area. It was the highlight of our trip to the Black Hills.

Our guide Brandon was incredible and was so fun to share stories with! Getting to climb and rappel at Sylvan Lake was one of the most incredible and beautiful experiences I’ve ever had, there’s nothing else like it.nnIf I ever decide to go rock climbing again, I will definitely choose Sylvan Rocks ud83dudcafud83dudcaf
