DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Minneapolis

If I can, I'll stay here every time I am in town. The room was fantastic. They accommodated extra towels without hesitation. We got a deal the first night and I was so in love with the room that we stayed an additional night. Not sure if I'll always be able to afford it but it was nice while I could for a couple days. Only have it 4 stars because the front desk lady was a little brash but... We all have those days.

This Hotel is ridiculous. We had booked a 6 person suite for 1 night, for a night. We arrived after a 6 and a half hour drive to check into the hotel. We were exhausted and just wanted to change but nope. We were greeted by a lady named Tamara. We tried to check in and Tamara told us, well only 3 people are allowed in one room and Tamara told us that we she is going to cancel our reservation that we made months ago or we have to purchase another room. we had gotten a confirmation email and no where in the email or on the website did it say only 3 people were allowed we found out when we got there. We asked what the price of 2 of there cheapest rooms was and Tamara said it was $99 plus an extra $110 maintenance fee so, our $130 one night stay turned into a $400 night. then proceeded to ask if it was possible if we could speak to a manager and Tamara told us she was the only one on staff that night. When we asked if she could possibly call one of the managers to help us solve our problem. Tamara then looked at us and said, my managers don't like when I call them so no I cant but even if I would they would tell you the same thing. why have a manager if they are not willing to help. We then proceeded to try and have a conversation about the room to understand why it was like that and Tamara picked up a waived it in our faces saying this is what you sign. Are you kidding me, the disrespect of Tamara. This place was not even willing to work with us Tamara would just keep adding more onto our price. When we were getting ready to leave, some of us in tears, we realized that that we would need a key to get out of the parking garage so, we had to go back in and request to leave. If I could give this no stars I would. Hilton double tree here's a tip, if you wan to be successful take a look at the service of the Hilton Minneapolis right down the street. They worked with us and made our night that you destroyed, so much better. Would not recommend Hilton double tree suits in Minneapolis. but I would recommend Hilton Minneapolis.

As soon as I got there. You have to buzz in with the front door being locked. Due to Covid and the location, I can see that. The lady who checked me in was very polite and informative. My suite was really nice. It was nice to see the Hilton brand implementing the new sanitation procedures during this time with the door seal.

Double tree is a wonder establishment with beautiful clean rooms. I stay here whenever I’m in town. They make it very comfortable.

Love it. Big rooms... and you can ***OPEN*** the windows! Imagine that -- a big chain hotel in America that lets you breathe outside air if you want to. Kudos.
