We have had such a positive experience at Wise. The office staff is very accommodating and helpful. The swim instructors are friendly, patient and effective. Pricing is fair and reasonable. Excellent swim lessons.
Just started swim lessons with my 7 month old son! He has had the best time here. The location is close to home which I like. It is also very clean and staff is friendly and professional. There are 3 changing rooms. One for boys, one for girls, and a family one. This is great because my wife and I can go together to get our son ready. It is a family friendly environment. Highly recommend this swim school.
Our first session here was great and my then 2 year old son seemed to be making progress with his teacher, Sandy, who was energetic and engaging and seemed to know how to work with each student's strengths and weaknesses. However, Sandy is no longer at the Apple Valley location (and even if she was, there's no process in place to request a certain teacher; you don't know who you'll have until you show up for the first lesson of the new session), and every teacher we have had since then has not been of the same caliber and we've been extremely disappointed with the sessions (our son is now 4 years old). The majority seem to simply go through the motions, not making much of an effort to identify and work on specific weaknesses of the individual students. During our most recent session I couldn't believe how much time the young teacher spent doing non-teaching things like splashing water at the students, playing basic games that didn't challenge their level of skills, ending the class several minutes early, etc etc;. It's been frustrating to watch, especially since I've taught lessons in the past myself. Based on the cost of the sessions, I expect more and therefore will be looking elsewhere.
Amazing and caring staff that are truly passionate about swim safety for all ages.
Such a great swim school! My kids were taking lessons elsewhere and not progressing. Once we started here they quickly learned proper strokes and side breathing. Within a month my 7 year old went from needing a floating device to assist him to side breathing while properly executing a freestyle stroke. I'm amazed at how quickly my kids have become strong swimmers through Wise Swim School.
