Wow, the phone system for this place is just horrible. I waited for 1.5 hours before I actually spoke to a live person. Can't you hire more staff. One of the most frustrating situations I have ever dealt with. Other times I have called they literally say they cannot assist because of call volumes and that I should l call back later? How is this good customer service, or does that even exist anymore??

I am so sick and tired of not being able to get my own money, I filed about 4 weeks ago, did my cert, waited till about 5 days ago where I tried calling the Dept. Of Labor, waited on hold for more than 2 hours before getting through, granted, the woman that helped me was very helpful in everything, she told me that I can expect my first payment in 24-48 hours, that was fine to me, now that brings us to today, I had still received nothing, I called again, 2 hours on hold again, got through finally, took about 2 minutes, they told me that I should have received a card in the mail that will have my money deposited to it, I explained to the person that I specifically chose direct deposit, put all my banking info and everything, just for it not to matter in the end, drove all the way to my house and found one letter from them, telling me that my former boss back in March can file an appeal, also told me that this wouldn’t effect the weekly earnings, basically, the paper was useless and had no card, they have taken my money and put it on a card that I had no knowledge of, and I don’t know where it is, feels great to not know where your own money is and the government not caring at all, reading other reviews, it at least makes me feel better knowing I’m not the only one who’s had to deal with constant B.S and tedious processes that don’t work, truly pathetic to know that this is a standard.

Worst system ever. You would think 8 months into the pandemic you could reach someone in a timely manner. But I've wasted hours calling and can't even wait on hold. You want me to do a work search even though I have a job to go back to in 2 weeks. Can't get through to explain to anyone even though I explained in my claim and shouldn't have to do this. I've been in quarantine! How can I go out searching for work and applying for other jobs?! And I already have a job. Just need help with 2 weeks with no pay. Don't try to Augusta office number, every single person that answered is rude and doesn't want to even attempt to help, just call the useless unemployment number no one gets through on. This is our livelihoods, we can't just sit around waiting and hoping.

I had a few questions about working part time and filling. I attempted to contact unemployment. The first time I called I waited on hold for 25 minutes, they disconnected me without answering the call. I called back a second time, waited on hold for 35 minutes and again was disconnected without my call being answered. I called the department of labor only to get a women who was rude , despite me still being pleasant even after wasting an hour of my day attempting to get a question answered.

Awful, rude uppity people. Had to take a morning off to to tell them how I did not get unemployment from them, for a woman to be uppity at me and when I asked her what I was to do now, she said if I haven’t heard anything for 10 days to call back and I said business days or calendar days and she said calendar days. I told her she should specify that. Then she was rude. An awful human being who doesn’t care this is peoples lives/livelihoods than asked to be to talk a supervisor and was transferred to a voicemail. Unacceptable
