There water is fantastic. The snack bar is open all the time and across credit cards. It's a bit of a hike from the parking lot to the beach so I'd recommend driving to the bottom, unloading and then parking. They only negative is that the beach is rather thin and not to many people can fit there. I also recommend that you arrive when they open.
Crystal clear water and nice sandy beach. Picnic tables and grilling stands are peppered along the shoreline. There's bathrooms, changing facilities and a concession stand.

Its Local, has a little of everything for everyone, from snacks, trail walking paths, to the beach activities..to bird/wildlife watching..
