5 stars for Dr. Davis and his Assistant.nI had my wisdom tooth filled, and very happy with the work and the way my tooth feels now. The filling procedure was so smooth and quick even though it was somehow hard to get to the tooth.nNo stars for customer service and billing system. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I got a bill on the mail with a tiny amount that my insurance didn’t cover. I wanted to pay the bill online, but they don’t have an online payment system. I called the office a few times to pay the bill, but there was no one there because office hours changed due to the pandemic. After that, I got the same bill but I was surprised to see a late fee. I thought “ this is not right during the pandemic, especially when office changed business hours and there is no billing online system set up.” I called the office to clarify and express my feeling that “it’s not ethical to charge late fees during the pandemic, and I don’t like the billing system.” The billing specialist answer was “ If you don’t like our billing system, you don’t have to be a patient here.” That was her answer, denying all the circumstances of my complaint.nWhat do you think? Does she have the right to deny my right to be a patient there because I didn’t like the billing system? Is she the one who make decisions about accepting, rejecting new patients, or removing existing patients? Or is there another reason why would she treat me that way? Does any one have any insights about the customer service at the this office?

Went in to get my a cavity and was pretty nervous going in. I got there about 15 minutes before my appointment and was taken into the exam room within 5 minutes of being there. The owner Michelle and her assistant were absolutely amazing. I was in and out in under 30 minutes and will never be scared of getting a filling again.

I attended Portland Dental for 10+ years. I was always treated with great concern and respect and never had any continuing problems after having been treated there. What more can I say? The only reason I'm not going to them now is because I moved to Tucson Arizona.

I never went to the dentist through college, and this was the first one I tried once I moved to Portland. The staff members are friendly and the Doctors are knowledgeable. They discovered a cavity in my first visit and were able to treat it on the same day, answering the multitude of questions I had about the procedure. Since then I have been going three to four times a year and my teeth haven't had any problems!nnThe dental hygienists are all pretty different, and there are some I like better than others - some offer a barrage of superficial conversation which can be a little uncomfortable, while others are a little more... genuine? There seems to be a weird push for certain brands of home dental products which is weird when I'm with certain hygienists, too. I don't know what the deal is around that, but I like it better when I just get the basic care and information I need. I have also had both most pleasant and most uncomfortable cleaning experiences at this practice, so my experience varies wildly with each hygienist I guess.nnAnyway, as long as I get one of the good hygienists this is probably one of the best practices I will ever visit, and I have no plans to change anytime soon.

I've been to a few different dentists but this is by far the best. Every time I have seen Dr Davis or Dr Michelle they take the time to explain everything and you can tell they really care about their patients. I also have difficulty getting numb, but they understood this and did everything they could to make it a good experience.
