Books & Brews South Indy

This is a wonderful place to read, eat, drink, and wind down. It's actually kid and family friendly, too, with games, high chairs, and occasional kids days on Sundays. The food is good, but the drinks are better, with local beers and ciders on tap. Gluten free and vegan options are available. Board games, and card games are free to play. There is a small arcade room as well. Parking is plentiful, and bike parking is an option. This is right on the Red Line, at the University bus station stop. Staff was very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place for anyone.

I did some headshots at Books & Brews for my clients and the staff was incredible to work with! My clients loved the location and enjoyed their choice of a drink before/during/after their photos. Highly recommend for your next gathering, group hangout, or friendly meet-up!

Great place; part bar, bookshop and now coffee shop too. Good selection of beers, ample indoor and outdoor seating. Only knock is the food menu is limited to appetizers and sandwiches. What's there is good mind you, it's just smaller than I expected.

Love this place! Family friendly lots of board games for everyone, extensive menu with food that tastes delicious and honestly I'm not into artisanal beers but I do enjoy the house beers!
