Fabulous, caring staff.nClean shelter with the best interest of the animals.nWe have rescued two dogs from McHenry Animal Adoption and we have been absolutely amazed at how caring this establishment is.

I did a humane thing when I found 2 stray dogs in my yard while trying to play with my dogs that were fenced in. Not 1 person told me that if you have animals over a certain time period you have to claim them and pay a fee for AC to take them. I have NEVER heard of this. And they left within taking them. In our neighbourhood everyone looks out for each other and are asking and posting on the Facebook page. No one claimed them so with Coyotes bad in my area I only gave them shelter & food and couldn’t live with my conscious if I had let them back out. So I called here and got no help whatsoever!!! So now I have to call shelters and see who will take them and will be a no kill shelter. These 2 puppies are adorable and loving!! I cannot keep them since I have 3 dogs of my own and one of them pregnant. I have no room for the 2 found

Rampantly incompetent, department with in county government, ideal to serve as example of government incompetence.

Very unhappy with how office staff works with adoption. Very confusing. Need more training and better management.
