Helped us with a problem with our neighbors dog. They truly care about the animals and do everything hey can to find new homes and take care of the animals found.
Officer Ricketts is a very unprofessional animal control officer. He harasses people of color and uses his position of authority to do so. Additionally, when he stopped a young, black man this week, he knew he was in the wrong and called for police backup to further harass the young man who was walking one dog on a leash, while carrying his other dog....that he had just found moments ago, and was heading to meet a friend to get a leash for the found dog. Ricketts stated that he stopped him because the dog was not on a leash (he was carrying it), and when he kept explaining that he just found his dog, as she had been missing, he then asked for vaccine records (who carries those around?) He then took the two dogs away after the young man explained to him everything. This officer had no reason to take those dogs from the owner.
