Amazing! I had my 2nd baby at home! I was completely hypnotized! I experienced great pain with my first child and I wanted a natural alternative for my second. Tanya, her voice, and her teaching gave me the most amazing birth experience!

Since I did not know what a doula was, I was skeptical that we needed one for the birth of our child. Technically Tanya is a Monitrice, but I do not know enough other positive words to describe her. My wife chose to deliver without any pain medication and she also chose hypnosis as her pain management strategy. Both of us were prepared to do our parts when the time came. For the first few hours I played the role of Tanya where I gave the hypnotic suggestions and talked thru the scripts that we had been practicing. It was not that effective and I was quietly thinking that my wife was going to need drugs. When Tanya arrived, it was like a switch was flipped. The three of us were an amazing team, although obviously Tanya and my wife played the biggest roles. Tanya brings a strength and calming quality to every room that she walks into. The knowledge and compassion that she has makes me proud to know her. My wife endured 30 hours of natural child labor through Tanya’ help. At the peak of her pain levels, Tanya actually showed the medical team at the hospital a pain management technique that has been used in the past, but is not as common anymore. Using only sterile water, Tanya showed them how and where to inject my wife to give her some relief from the pain. I was amazed that the medical team trusted her enough to allow her to show them this and that it also worked. I could go on and on about how much I loved our experience with Tanya, but I will leave you with this. Tanya gave my wife and I the gift to deliver our child the way that we wanted. She transformed a painful, stress filled situation clouded with doubt into a positive, controlled process that my wife managed through a strength and beauty that I did not know existed inside of her. She transformed me from a skeptic to her biggest advocate, and I don’t know if that has ever happened before to me. I cant say enough amazing things about Tanya, and this is coming from someone that was skeptical of the need for her in the first place.

Tanya's Hypnobirthing class has given my husband and I wonderful tools to use during our upcoming natural labor. Besides teaching the alternative birthing philosophy of Hypnobirth, her class has also provided us with a great basic birth education foundation.  As this is our first child, we have felt these classes have been vital to helping us prepare for birth as a team.  And although we have not yet gotten to take the breastfeeding class, Tanja does also have an entire session dedicated to breastfeeding - which we hear is sometimes trickier than one expects.  This is certainly a bonus having them all combined and not having to seek out breastfeeding education separately. We look forward to attending this class as well.nnWe have found her to be informative, supportive, and warm.  She has also been flexible with our schedule allowing us to make up later when we have needed to miss a class.nnIt's apparent that Tanya is excited to share her knowledge and that she is constantly expanding her knowledge base with keeping up to date on the newest data and studies.   She doesn't dig in and just hold onto the old data.nnWe have found Tanya so helpful, we've also decided to hire her as our doula/monitrice for our upcoming birth.  We believe adding her to our birth team is a seamless choice as she will be able to help guide us using the exact techniques and tools she has provided us in her classes.nnHighly recommended!nn(This review is written by the mother, although it is posted via my husband's google account)
