Knowledgeable, resourceful, hardworking, professional. These are just some of the words that describe the people who took care of me. My PT was Joanna. I did not come once, but twice for two different injuries and for much longer period for the more serious one. I even followed Joanna to her new place – Evanston South, where she leads a wonderful team. The attention to the patient covers many aspects in the ultimate goal of recovery. Clear understanding of how the injury happened, the overall person’s health, even several contacts with my doctor together with the physical therapy itself – all led to my constant improvement. Joanna worked directly on my injuries by herself but would also bring others to help her to address the right muscles, at the right time.nnShe explained very clearly the general therapy approach, the separate steps and answered all my questions. She created exercise plans for me and even designed specific exercises targeted to my specific injury. She was able to accommodate my hectic schedule.nnI was impressed by many things, but most of all by Joanna’s ability to combine her solid scientific knowledge with flexible approaches targeted to an individual and the specific injury. I do not want to be injured again, but I have no doubt where I will go if I need an exceptional physical therapy. Thank you!

Several weeks ago I had a complete shoulder replacement. As some of you may know, this is a significant surgery with a great deal of physical therapy required to rehabilitate the shoulder.nAfter a review of providers of this service, I settled on this Athletico.nWorking with Dan, my PT, is not only productive, but enjoyable. Dan took the time to explain what took place during the surgery and the road ahead to recovery. Not only is Dan extremely knowledgeable and passionate, but he cares greatly about his patients.nI am fortunate to be in such capable hands.nMike McN.

I went to this facility for the first time starting last November. At the time, severe pain radiated down both arms and l could not raise or lift things, comb hair or get dressed without excruciating pain. An MRI confirmed my worst fears. But, thanks to the excellent program and staff at Athletico South Evanston, l avoided surgery. I received the best care and follow up from my PT Joanna S., and sessions with Tony, Tracy and Ben. They were always professional, patient and clearly very knowledgeable and well trained in their field. I have been in therapy off and on for 30 plus years. Without a doubt they are the best I’ve experienced. Athletico will be my preference from here on. Thanks Joanna and team for giving me back my life. I am pain free and l have my mobility back!!

The therapists at this Athletico worked so hard to help with my lower back issues. I worked primarily with Dan, but everyone there is just awesome. Dan took a few different approaches to figure out the best way to treat my pain. My back is way better off now than when I started!nnSophia started me off with exercises and stretches that I will continue at home. I highly recommend this spot if you need physical therapy. All that work there are knowledgeable, warm and friendly. Also, during Covid-they took many precautions and I felt safe being there.

This place is a gem. From the front desk Jackie and her friendly voice and helpful nature. I have been working with Joanna who is just wonderful. She exhibits everything that I could need - kindness, knowledgeable, and effective. As much as I can't wait get better and some semblance of normal again, I'm thankful to be at this Athletico during my recovery. Plus free parking in Evanston the winter is another bonus!
