Lilian Holm Wellness

Lilian Holm was completely instrumental in changing my life from one of dealing with constant daily pain, to one where I’m able to function again and not dread getting up in the morning. Her perceptive diagnostic instincts, along with supplemental mental and attitude adjustments, moved me from horrible sciatic pain to be able to maintain my daily life again by doing targeted stretching and strengthening exercises. She is so very caring and in tune with a person’s issues and problems. I would highly recommend Lilian as your physical therapist.

I have been to several physical therapists for a chronic back problem, but Lilian was the first to recognize a physical structural issue, and was able to put be on a path designed to change my way of living with the issue, reduce pain, and avoid and/or limit further damage. She takes a very holistic approach to care which I greatly appreciate. She understands both the body and the mind, and that any approach to true wellness has to combine them both.

For more than 40 years, daily head and neck pain were part of my life. Medication was the easiest path to relief-until it wasn’t. I tried acupuncture and chiropractic treatments both of which helped, but only temporarily. I needed something more lasting and something that allowed me a measure of control. I hoped that physical therapy was the answer.nnI first tried physical therapy at one of those large facilities and quickly became disenchanted. My husband (age 95) went to Lilian because of increasing hip discomfort and resulting lack of mobility. Lilian offers a unique and fulfilling approach to physical therapy. She wants to learn all about her patients...physical condition, of course,. But also eating habits, sleeping patterns, emotional feelings about physical issues, among others. Her approach is completely holistic, integrating her knowledge of physical therapy with nutrition, body-mind connection, and lifestyle, He learned much about his condition, all of which helped him move on to total hip replacement with confidence. He has incorporated many of her suggestions into his post-surgical life. Lilian is very special!!

I highly recommend Lilian Holm as a physical therapist. After a year of troubling knee pain and stiffness I was prescribed Physical therapy by my orthopedist. In the past I had gone to the big practices such as Athletico. These places are good, but I felt like I was simply going to start up again on a standard set of exercises and stretches for knee pain. I doubted if this was going to work any better than the last times, so I decided to try to find a solo practice.nSo I looked for other options and I saw good reviews of Lilian. At my first visit I was surprised that I was her only patient for one whole hour. Her office on the first floor in a vintage building is calm and softly lit, well equipped, with lots of daylight through the windows.nWhat a difference from the large bustling corporate physical therapy places I was used to, where therapists rotate between several patients at the same time.nLilian carefully listened to my symptoms, looked at my mri, and explained her opinion and her approach. Instead of doing lots of standard exercises , she showed me a number of ways to change how I moved in daily life, and lots of new types of stretches. I was amazed at how quickly these changes alleviated my pain. I thought I would never be able to squat down on the floor again, but now it is a regular thing for me.nLilian also counseled me on diet and supplements such as collagen which I take daily and believe it helps my joints. But Lilian never pushes any supplements.nShe is attentive and very professional and humorous and warm. A great therapist!
