When I was little my babysitter would take me here all the time and I would have a blast! She would give me fruit snacks and some food to eat and I always looked forward going there. Though sadly my babysitter died a few years ago from cancer and I will never forget the amazing memories I had there with her. I hope to visit soon to bring back memories even though I’m 12.nR.I.P. Stepped foot in this church in March of 2018 after a poor experience at my former church. I recieved nothing but warm welcomes and a lot of love since! The worship and sermon are very powerful and uplifting, and easy to follow. Despite the large size of this/my church, they do an excellent job of making you feel welcome! I now play drums for FCC, and it has been tons of fun, and really spiritually rewarding. The Champaign and Urbana locations are both incredible, and I am glad to call FCC my home, and family.

This has been my spiritual home for over 20 years and things just keep getting better. Staff and programs are excellent.

Overall I really look back fondly on my years spent in this church! I attended from midway through high school until going to college, and I had a lot of personal and spiritual growth happen especially in the high school small groups. I also got to play on the worship team in the main service, and that was such a great worship experience too!! This church was such a wonderful home for me during my high school years.nMy only real dissatisfaction with FCC is that a few months after joining the high school small groups, I lent one of my favorite books to one of the small group leaders. I've contacted them multiple times, as well as all the other small group leaders in the church to try and get it back; but the leader I lent it to claimed not to have it anymore and suggested that I maybe had lent it to someone else. This has happened several times over and over in my endeavor to get my book back, but nothing's come of it and as such it seems that, whoever has my book, I probably won't get it back-- which is sad, not only was it a good book but someone very influential in my life gave it to me.nThat continuing incident is really unfortunate, but other than that the church really is pretty great. I connected with one of my closest friends through it, and I'll always treasure the time and memories I had here.
Similar place
