Friendly staff. Dr Whipps is def a serious person but he’s a great orthodontist. All 3 of my children have seen him. He’s a good man, knows his stuff, and very affordable.

The doctor is rude, barely pays his assistants, he doesn't know what he's doing. My teeth are even worse off than before. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague.

My son has the medical card. I had offer to pay cash on the first visit and was told to wait and see what the insurance said. Even after the insurance denial I requested to know the cost so I could pay for them myself was told to wait they was going to appeal. I called today to check on the appeal and was told that Dr. Whipps is not taking new patient. I said he is not new. I was told by Montel because the insurance was so hard to deal with and would not approve the braces request Dr. Whipps will not take him. I said even though I offered to pay for it and she said NO. That office truly SUCKS this has been going on since at least last August and I am just now being told he will not see him. She told me there are other orthodontist in Mt. Vernon. How sad they won’t even take a cash patient who by all rights IS NOT NEW. Since they have already seen him once. I guess in the long run MY MONEY IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR THEM. So sad that they do this to children. If I had been told this from the first my son would have already had almost 1 year down at wearing his braces but NOW I get to look for another doctor. Hopefully one that will accept cash. This office is definitely a NO GO in my book. To bad they don’t have minus stars because I would give them a negative 5 stars. They don’t deserve the one star, but I can’t post this without giving them at least 1 star. Pitiful.

The worst Dr I've ever met. He's rude, hateful to the patients and parents. Never comes out and talks to you after an appointment. He won't let you come back with your child. I feel sorry for the staff, they are very nice. He has no bedside manner and zero compassion. And what's sad is he's almost the only dentist in the area who will accept Medicaid. So if you don't have insurance, you're stuck with this hateful ugly man

The staff here are so friendly yet the doctor is not. He spoke to my child like a dog actually made her cry. Wow just wonder if he realizes the patients he's treating like imposters are the ones that provide his financial stability he has. I will be talking to someone about his behavior towards little kids. Totally unprofessional .
