After seeing a story about the Iowa clinic obgyn on the news this morning I feel I need to make my own public statement about them. We went to them when I found out I was pregnant with my second child. After the experiences we had with our first we knew that we did not want to go back to the Mercy practice. The Iowa clinic doctors cared for me and my baby throughout that pregnancy and now are caring for me and baby #3. I won't speak much to the story I saw as it was brief and based on what they said I feel probably a bit one-sided, especially given HIPAA laws in the doctors really wouldn't be able to speak much about it. But I do feel there is a lot more to the story than we saw. With all that said I've never felt pressured by any of the Iowa clinic doctors that I've seen. I've never felt like the care I've gotten was anything but the highest of quality. They are caring and attentive. They are careful and thorough. Some have better bedside manner than other but I feel every doctor I've worked with is professional and knowledgeable. Just last night I went to bed telling my husband how well cared for I feel with them.
