I took my Yorkshire Terrier in unable to move or eat. It happened overnight. Another nameless vet diagnosed him as being constipated. Gave him a lot of unnecessary medications, and made him worse. I explained to Dr. Love what his symptoms were, and she ran the necessary blood work and took x-rays. Thank God she is experienced enough to recognize pancreatitis when she sees it. I was given the options of leaving him in the clinic overnight on IVs, or taking him home. I opted to take him home because of his anxiety, and mine. I took him back again the following day for another IV. Between the IVs, the antibiotics and other meds, and a complete bland diet, my BEAU is still with me. Dr. Love saved his life.
